$1.00
per year per image. Are you kidding?
Not
at all! We believe that at $1.00 per year per image we're
covering our costs of operation. We're not a large corporate
entity that can disappear because of buyouts or low business.
We've been around since 1999 and we've no plans to change our
format. And we're personally involved with each and every
image file so if there are problems, you won't receive some generic
pre-formatted email.
Why
do I have to submit the registration form?
We need your information, including a valid email address,
in order to communicate with you. We will establish an account
and send you the access information so that you can see the pictures
you have on record with us, and this information will include the
corresponding URL, as well as the paid date and expiration date for
each picture. This allows you to track your pictures directly,
which helps us to keep prices lower.
Do
you accept credit cards?
We accept any credit that can be registered through PayPal.
Do
you accept cash?
No. We can only accept checks, money orders and
cashier's checks. Sending cash in the mail is always risky and
we are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. So stay
safe and send items that can be replaced without a loss to you.
How
do I send you my digital pictures?
First, you'll need to have them downloaded off your digital
camera onto your computer (unless you have one of those really fancy
digital cameras that can download straight to your email).
Follow the manufacturer instructions and remember where you
downloaded the file!
Okay,
now you'll need to create an email addressed to lori@picturehost.net.
Remember to attach the file(s) you need to send to us. Click
send!
How
long does it take for you to set up my pictures?
We try for a less than 24 hour turn-around. But, we're
not perfect... and believe it or not, we don't live at our
computers. So, if it takes a little bit longer, please forgive
us. We want your pictures to have the best look and download
time and since this is a manual process, it can take just a little
extra time on some images.
My
pictures are fuzzy. Can you fix that?
No. Sorry but garbage in, garbage out. We do our
best to crop, resize and re-color when possible, as well as
"sharpening" the image, but we cannot correct blurriness,
graininess or background issues.
When
will my images expire?
Each paid image is stored for one year. On the first
day of the month following the expiration of your paid image, it
will be deleted without notification to you. For instance, if
your picture is paid for through February 20, 2003, it will be
deleted from our server on March 1, 2003 if we do not receive
payment for another year.
How
will I know when my images expire?
When you submit your registration form, we will create an
account for you and provide access details to you via email.
You will be able to see thumbnail images of your images, the URLs
for each, the payment received date and the expiration date.
This will allow you to visually determine what images you wish to
keep stored with PictureHost.net. Which means.... if your
image is due to expire, payment is required.
I
know that my image will be needed longer than a year. Can I
pay for more than one year?
Of
course! And if you choose to pay for more than one year, the
date of expiration will be noted accordingly to your payment.
None
of the above answers my question. What now?
